At Trinity Park, we are a community of believers dedicated to making, maturing, and mobilizing disciples of Jesus for the transformation of the world.
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
We affirm the divine inspiration, truthfulness, and authority of both the Old and New Testaments. The Holy Bible is the only written Word of God. The Scriptures are our authority and guide in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God The Father
We believe in God the Father. We believe God created the world from nothing and by his almighty power continues to sustain the world. God hears and answers prayer and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ The Son of God
We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead. He ascended into heaven. It is only through a relationship with Jesus that a person can receive salvation. He is our role model for the Christian life. We believe a day is coming when Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. The same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in every believer. It is by the empowerment of the Holy Spirit that Christians can imitate Jesus and live the Christian life. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit described in the New Testament continue to exist today and are a tangible sign of God’s presence here on earth.
We believe all people are created in the image of God and thus every person has intrinsic value. However, this image was marred due to Adam and Eve’s sin and fellowship with God was broken. Because of sin, death entered the world and the Bible says that after we die we will be judged by God. We believe that through God’s grace, every person has the opportunity to repent of their sins, to respond to God’s love and kindness as shown through the life and death of Jesus Christ.
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God. All people can be saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus and His resurrection provide the only grounds for the forgiveness of sins for all who believe. Only those who receive Jesus Christ are born of the Spirit, become children of God and are given eternal life.
We believe the Church is the community of all true believers under the Lordship of Christ. We as Christians are called to be in community with other believers. We also believe it is our mission to love and support others, both inside and outside the church, in Jesus’ name.
While not everyone is called to marriage, we believe the covenant of marriage is the union of one man and one woman committed to one another in the eyes of God.
We believe in the future return of Jesus Christ and in a day of final judgment. We believe in a literal heaven and hell. In the end, God will establish His perfect kingdom with a new heaven and a new earth.
We believe water baptism in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is an outward sign of an inward reality and is commanded by God following conversion.
We believe in regularly taking the Lord’s Supper as a way of remembering Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. We celebrate an open communion for all believers regardless of church affiliation.
